This is one of three waterfall locations I know of in Huatulco area, all of which are on the same general highway back in the mountains above Huatulco. One must do at least one day trip to at least one of these. You also pass through villages on the way which can be interesting.
We have seen this from time to time. Also, our boat hit a very large one one time which stopped the boat and through our 200 horsepower motor out of the water. No doubt the manta ray was injured by our encounter.
Someone did a nice job with this video with even a song specific to Huatulco as background music. I think the labels about Huatulco promote the usual but fine tourist aspects of Huatulco.
We see this in other cities but only recently in La Crucecita. La Crucecita is a small village near Huatulco and Santa Cruz, all of which are real close to each other.
Chickens for food. My spouse is vaccinating them.
A boy tries to hold back the sea :-)
On an Easter Sunday, the most people I have ever seen on it in 5 plus trips or more.
A resort on the mountain side on the way up to Pluma Hidalgo, a coffee village worth also visiting.
One of the pools we swam in on the way back from see the "El Grandillo Las Brisas" waterfall.
Huatulco tourism video displaying the beauty of the area.
